5 Tips for Wellness

1. Make Your Diet Healthy by Going Natural
Instead of reaching for the biscuits or chips - grab a piece of in season fruit. Or roast some edamame in the shell and season with garlic and chilli - this snack satisfies your craving for something savoury without the fat and calories. Fruit and veggies are full of immune boosting antioxidants as well as vitamins and minerals. Tastes good and good for you.

2. Think About How You Hydrate
By choosing water instead of sugary sodas or chemical laden diet drinks you can save money and help your body the natural way. Pure water hydrates your body much better than other liquids and without the nasty side effects. We all need about 2 litres a day to maintain proper hydration.

3. Remember To Be Kind To Your Mind
It’s easy to focus on physical health but we need to be kind to our minds as well. Without a healthy mental outlook, our body will never achieve balance. Some of the best ways to help our mental wellbeing is to get enough sleep, eat well, exercise and try to distress your life as much as possible. Don’t sweat the small stuff and acknowledge when you’re feeling down. And never be afraid to ask for help from the people who love you if you need it. There’s no shame in needing an assist from time to time.

4. Don’t Worry, Be Happy
This can be easier said than done but by focusing on the positive instead of getting weighed down by the negative…you really will help reduce your stress levels. Eating well, sleeping well, exercising and being kind to yourself and others are great ways to reduce stress and increase happiness.

5. Build Those Muscles
Okay…you don’t have to be Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime…but doing at least 30 minutes of physical activity three times a week can make a real difference to your life. You can choose from cardio, walking, strength training or anything in between. Play a sport or even go fly a kite with your kid. It all counts and it’s all good for you. So, get moving and feel those muscles grow!!
